iCode Opens in Boise Area

Why You Should Invest in a Tech Education Franchise

Boise, Idaho – Kids and teens in Boise and Treasure Valley can now take a “byte” out of the world of coding.

As the technology industry continues to grow and power the everyday lives of Americans, there is often still a gap in the average curricula of today’s schools when it comes to teaching coding and computer science skills to children. Well, not any longer for kids and teens in Boise and surrounding areas.

iCode, a national computer science education franchise, announced today that it is opening a new location in Boise. Online classes are currently available for students K-12. iCode of Boise will open its brick-and-mortar location in the early fall in Harris Ranch.

“I am so excited to be offering in-person, hybrid, and online education program to the young students of Boise and Treasure Valley,” said Stephania Moore, the former Registered Nurse, who is bringing the iCode location to the area. “Our summer program is a great outlet for kids to stay academically involved during the months between school years’.”

With Stephania’s experience as a Registered Nurse and background in Organization Performance and Workplace Learning, she is well equipped to operate the new location. The location will offer STEAM-based computer science education through proprietary curricula and a signature BELT program. The progressive BELT program graduates students to more advanced levels of coding and is built to keep students motivated to continue developing their skills similar to how belts function in the martial arts. With a convenient class schedule catering to any family’s schedule, after-school, online, summer and holiday programs will all be held at iCode of Boise.

“We’re thrilled that Stephania has opened her online classes to students in the Boise area,” said Abid Abedi, founder and CEO of iCode. “Now, students can have the opportunity to learn often overlooked skills that can benefit them for a future in tech. With custom programs built for every experience level, we’re looking forward to seeing how the kids and teens at Stephania’s location develop their skills.”

iCode differentiates itself in the fast-growing computer science education industry with its state-of-the-art facilities and proprietary curricula. Through its robust menu of offerings and several classrooms in each location, the brand is able to serve students of all skill levels with programs that teach students how to build games, apps, websites, and work with robotics. iCode also offers the unique iSports professional gaming league with competitions taking place after school, once per week for a five-week period. In addition to the tactical abilities coding education offers, students benefit from developing soft skills, including critical thinking and problem-solving.

Today’s announcement follows an eventful year for the brand, with upcoming openings in Pittsburgh; Bellevue, Washington; Moorestown and Bridgewater, New Jersey; The Colony, Sugarland and Murphy, Texas; and Goodyear, Arizona.

Most people have heard of franchises, the “business-in-a-box” model, yet it seems like the entire process remains shrouded in mystery. How do franchises work? What actually goes on under the hood? That’s what we’ll help you clarify in this article. Order Now   How Does a Franchise Work? In a franchise, the franchisor (owner of the brand model) grants the prospective franchisee (you in this case) the right to use its trademark, products, services, and operating systems to sell products and services under the franchisor's brand name. Since the franchisor has already built a successful business, it can provide franchisees with a proven business model, operating systems, and other training and support to show franchise owners how to replicate that success. The prospective franchisee then invests in the right to operate under the brand name and leverages the power of the brand’s established systems to launch its own franchise location. The franchisee signs a franchise agreement - a contract that outlines the terms of the franchise relationship - which details any fees, royalties, territory restrictions, marketing requirements, and operating guidelines. Once a franchisee officially owns a franchise, the franchisor provides ongoing training and support to help the franchisee build a…
